How it worked for others...

Attraction

The outside was seriously letting the pub down, no kerb appeal. A bad reputation hung about and needed burying. The staff were disengaged. All fixed. New paint, lights, beautiful geraniums, new sign, stickers on windows gone, bins are round the back, 50 different gins. Genius! Now we can start marketing (using our new marketing plan) to just the right customers.

Retention

A smaller menu, happy staff and local fresh ingredients (from our own gardening club) changed our fortunes. Come back for breakfast, or Sunday lunch and we'll buy you a drink worked so well. And no fish restaurant for miles was an open goal for us, Fish Friday and 50% fish on menu is epic now. We're Back!

Relevance

Two dinners for a tenner on a Tuesday was just what people round here wanted, that and pie night (gives chef a night off..) and a descent garden. (Not many gardens round here.) And now we open for breakfast you can work from here. We use cooks for breakfast, chefs for lunch and dinner. All sorted, just need the weather now...SO Happy!

Acceptance

If you can't change the people, change the people! We offloaded all our unhappy staff and split the shifts better. We're now open longer, and people are getting used to us being open all day. We won't miss the grey exterior. Costs are up, turnover is up, profit is up. Excellent..
